There is no better excitement than the ability to take part in an activity or recreation; which helps you explore your limits. What else could be better reliving and satisfying than the ability to succeed in a recreation which has so many challenges? Moreover to chances of failure are so many. The progress through the recreation may be quiet slow. These are obstacles that a rock climber face. Yet still they try all their best to hone their abilities and eventually they ensure that they succeed in climbing various extreme rocky places.
Such an intense recreation may seem difficult. But when a climber eventually succeeds in reaching a certain peak or point, there is the sense of accomplishments which usually engulfs one. This may be related by various life experiences and challenges; which common in our daily lives and the recreation activities that we take part in. Even if we travel to participate in them. Or in the decisions which we have to make even though they may have some repercussions on us.
The same way a rock climber strives to attain success; and feels happier for the results; is the same way such a person who has the enthusiasm to overcome a challenge in career. Or life feels when she/he accomplished his/her goals.
An ideal place of natural attraction and recreation
I love rock climbing. The intense of the adrenaline while rock climbing is a usually a feel-good state which However, I experience especially after overcoming an obstacle. Usually, I love alpine mountaineering during winters. It may pose many challenges, sometimes feel like a punishment than normal rock climbing. But after accomplishing my goals, I’m usually left craving for more.
Last summer was however different. A group of friends suggested to be a tourist on a new adventure which I felt would be ideal for a summer holiday. The budget was so huge, and the excitement of the adventure crept in when I researched more about the recreation. They wanted us to go caving. A speleological adventure seemed like something which would be interesting especially in the company and the travel with a group of friends.
We decided to go for a vacation to Pazin, Croatia, in Europe. Part of the vacation was to sightsee of this great ancient town, but our primary goal was to adventure in the Pazin Cave. This was my first caving expedition. However, I expected a lot since I had never caved before. I knew that we would explore various challenges in the recreation. But being an avid rock climber, I knew that the experience would be awesome.
We made tourist arrangements with the institution mandated to carry out the excursion. Therefore, we discussed about the best times and we placed an appointment about our adventure. We were in Pazin about a week prior to the adventure day. We spent the few days before our expedition touring Europe overall – biking, hiking etc. Also, we ensured that we had purchased the right gear required for the caving experience.
Caving adventure and recreation in Pazin Cave
On the day of the travel and adventure, we arrived at the site early. We were taken through the basics of using the equipment while underground and the safety measures that we had to ensure to prevent and injuries. Our guide also explained to us about the various obstacles that we were likely to encounter and the best ways of overcoming them.
With that done, we set off for the adventure it was really amazing. We started by descending the wonderful and spectacular canyon on the riverbed of Pazincica stream. While underground we could help but marvel at the efforts which had been taken to ensure that the cave was well preserved to protect its natural and amazing landscapes. We went to the sandbar of the underground lake which was also awesome and amazing.
With the help of informative guides, we adventured the underground trail. It wasn’t hard, but it was quite challenging. Each one was fine all through except for an ankle injury that I sustained while we were returning from the underground lake. It was a rock bruise which damaged the upper tissues of my ankle and it wasn’t a big deal. First aid was administered by one of the guide before I was later taken to a health care center for further treatment after the expedition.
